I KNOW EVERYTHING.
musik: pehrsson
tekst: jørgensen

It used to matter to me
How far the earth is from the sun
It was important to me
How long the universe will run
I studied hard and I studied long
My curiosity was so strong
But when I finally thought that I knew everything
It wasn’t much after all

It’s just this woman I’ve met
She’s had a strange effect on me
‘Cause she just makes me forget
All I know about astronomy
I spent my nights by my telescope
And to claim a star was my highest hope
But now I catch myself making a wish
Each time the shooting stars fall

CH:
I know everything about the galaxies above
But I’ve always been an alien on the Planet of Love
I know everything, but I just can’t concentrate
‘Cause she told me that she’s free tonight
And she’ll be waiting by her garden gate

Solo i vers

B-stykke:
She’s simply magic personified
From the shape of her nose
To the style of her clothes
To the way she puts on her shoes
And day by day I’ve found
That when she’s not around
I get the lonely blues

So while my colleagues do tests
To see if Mars is suitable for life
I keep on doing my best
To make her want to be my wife
Life on Mars is fine for what it’s worth
But not as fine as what I’ve found on Earth
I do believe that I’ve finally found
The brightest star of all
